WIP Blizzard Student Art Contest 2018 - Reins of the Frostwolf Clan

Some WIPs of my entry for the student contest! Well under the poly count limit so that's a good sign :)
I'm still not sure if I want to make this a 'mount' concept or have like an NPC standing around Durotan of a single big wolf with 3 wolf pups playing around it.

Primary inspiration for this concept was Durotan's frost wolves - Stormfang and Nightstalker and possible descendants from that family.

I first created some quick high polys to get a feel for the shape, concept, and silhouette of what I am trying to go for. Then I moved into retopologizing the high polys into low polys that would fit under the maximum criteria of 6000 polys. I created the UV maps using Maya and it's awesome new toolset (I think they adapted Nightshade plugin stuff).

Almost complete! Just a few more things to wrap this up!
